Paul Jewell@littlescraps @liztai this is a swarm - a normal part of the lifecycle of a healthy colony. The queen and roughly half of the bees leave the hive and resources and look for a new home, leaving a new queen larva and the non- flying (young) bees in the hive to prosper. If you havent already done so, conact a beekeeper - they'll take the swarm away for you.
