@FlashMobOfOne @pabloniusmonk You're in derby; I'm in derby. You know as well as I do that players assume they won't be injured horribly. Same reason soldiers don't think they'll get killed and doctoral candidates think they'll make tenure. It's the only way to keep the dream alive -- "I'm special. It won't happen to me." As if ego wasn't enough, the NFL puts a serious paycheck on the line.

Unfortunately, as long as HS football is seen as the pipeline to the NFL, kids will die.
