@Polychrome what's your budget? Low light is probably the hardest to obtain on a small budget given your requirements.

I'd be curious why you're discounting mirrorless, as mirrorless is the path forward, and easier for beginners as you'll see what the camera will actually capture.

My recommendations is to check out https://www.dpreview.com/articles/1328199596/buying-guide-what-to-know-before-buying-your-first-interchangeable-lens-digital-camera and if you're sold on DSLRs, consider a second hand Canon as there's a much wider range of lenses, including affordable low light prime lenses
