@lookitmychicken ouch. 10 days of debilitating headache would have me in er asking for their migraine protocol AND a thorough check to make sure it's not something worse than primary migraine. (In fact iirc I believe my neuro has me on standing orders to do that if anything lasts more than a few days & doesn't respond to my breakthrough meds.)
(Or like, trigeminal neuralgia, which I've heard is an absolute BITCH. I've had dental pain along the relevant nerve and do NOT want headache/migraine pain on it!!!)
At 10 days I personally wouldn't assume tension other than in response to my head being murder (it can end up being a nasty trigger cycle tbh. Heat and ice and forcibly relaxing your most prone to tension muscles can help even if it's NOT tension lol); could well be dental so definitely at least have them take a look see for sure! If your mum coming over would be less fuss than the er, can't hurt to ask. If it'd be more, no shame in going to the er.
If your doctor you're going to isn't a neurologist, ask to be sent to one & hopefully the wait won't be long. If they are, have you done the thorough battery of testing for headaches? (Also, migraine can present some really wild ways. And primary migraine is like a lot of other brain-...centric? -based? -?tissue? disorders in that it is very often progressive in effects and severity. E.g. when I was 20 I could kick mine with 250mg paracetamol and sleep. I now need a small pharmacy of preventatives and breakthrough meds at 35 and paracetamol doesn't rank. 🤣🤣 /tangent)
Ummmmm anyway I hope your head stops hurting soon <*gentlest of pets to your poor head*> 💕
