i had to mine out software from an apk site to activate a first gen a couple years ago.

i guess it makes sense to deprecate a genuinely useful product :blobcatdunno: (though maybe they feel like the ubiquity of smart tv's means there is no longer a need to make the dongles, which would be a reasonable take)
