Light travelling from Earth to the Moon takes about a second, which as far as we know is the speed limit of the universe. That means at minimum there is about a second of delay for all internet traffic between Earth and the Moon. For Mars, it's about 3 minutes with the same limitation. While most of the time this probably wouldn't be an issue, it could pose problems for applications that require real-time communication with minimal latency, such as online games and video calls.
