    @anderspuck @DeeGLloyd There’s lots of angles to this. (Which, incidentally, totally justifies making a video about it.)

    They are pulling russian troops away from other parts of the front.
    They are threatening russian logistics for the northeastern front.
    They are making the "freeze current front line" gambit untenable for russia.
    They ruin the idea that Ukraine is not allowed to transgress into russia proper. (1/2)
