@sun games, especially singleplayer games, make 99.9999999% of their sales in the first weekend. its technically "economically unviable" at that point. remember nintendo made Mario 3D All-Stars available for like 6 months before pulling it ON PURPOSE and PREMEDITATED. I'm sure if they could get away with it, EA would put a big budget game up for sale for 72 hours only. this is already normal in the fashion industry
