@davidbruant @lanodan J'avais utilisé la citation dans une conf', il y a un moment, et un camarade a eu la bonne idée de vérifier. Il se trouve que cette phrase est apparemment une version assez déformée de ce que Gandhi disait vraiment, et il me semble que la formulation que lui utilisait était justement beaucoup plus claire pour aller dans ton sens :

Sure enough, it turns out there is no reliable documentary evidence for the quotation. The closest verifiable remark we have from Gandhi is this: “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do.”
