@maggiejk We had over 30 years of experience with Ebola by 2014. We knew how it was transmitted, and we'd seen many outbreaks contained in Africa. We knew that the US had the facilities to contain transmission from known cases. The risk of infection was something to take seriously (as doctors definitely did), but Trump paid no attention to the actual risks or available containment measures. Instead, he was willing to sacrifice someone based on his gut reaction. That is irrational.
