Avgas 100 was out of circulation for 40 years. The 100LL is the only fuel available worldwide. There's only 1 factory in the whole world that still makes TEL, in UK, and it's price is very high. Nobody would buy Avgas 100 if it were still available.

Also, 94UL is around. Unfortunately, the nearest pump to me is in Dublin, Texas, which is an hour away.

Either way, studies like that are constantly floating around. Some find the lead in children, some find no lead in children. The lead is going away no matter what, simply because the supply is not secure.
