I agree completely and have that same reaction. I think it’s pretty hard for those of us who instantly pick up on all the loathsome things about him to understand, but (as is so often the case) I really think my mom is on to something. Hypnosis is voluntary, and for those who are receptive to Trump as an idea, the hypnotic qualities of his voice are almost addictive. The very same qualities of the sound that make us ill function as a drug for others.
