@AdamStuartSmith @monkeyben I understand that, but the reply-on-the-fediverse button only shows up under comments from the fediverse, so it is still possible to answer locally, simply not to this specific content.

We have done that, because it is even worse if there is a local thread based on a comment that came from the fediverse and the original author wouldn't even know, because we can't federate local comments.
