@beccanalia You should pay attention to my words. A “contested” convention means all delegates are free to vote for whoever they please, & is a possibility if a nominee is not picked in the first round.

If that happens, the Democrats would lose in the general election, as they have done before. Fortunately Kamala Harris realizes this, & is trying (with success) to win over enough delegates to avoid this scenario.
