    @lispi314 If you are going away from home for several days and you know the tap water is usually not drinkable, it would be both wise and cheaper to bring several liters of filtered water with you - there is the small, but non-zero possibility that stores will run out of bottled water or be unable to take payment as the credit card machines have stopped working (for now you can pay with cash, but businesses and governments are pushing hard to get rid of cash) and if that happens you will have no clean water unless your brought some.

    What you're carrying will get lighter as you drink it too.

    I rarely go outside, but I always make sure to bring water with me.
