Yes, a lot of photographers who do a lot of photo editing do use GIMP to do so - but why would they tell anyone they do so unless asked?

I edit photos with GIMP and I've edited a lot of photos in my life.


Sure there are some huge proprietary bubbles that makes it seem that every single photographer uses x proprietary software and you won't find anything that goes against that if the only place you look is inside the bubble.
