My grandfather came to the UK on a work visa, he’s originally from a village and dirt poor but 6/8 of his kids have degrees and have very successful careers. Without going into detail, 3 are exceptionally successful (eg. doctors). Making your decision based on region and class is a bad indicator of quality and our family isn’t just an outlier; lots of our family friends have similar backgrounds. imo they should use work visas to sift out good and bad candidates, those people should have a history of working and securing a job in another country further shows their willingness to work and contribute to society.
