That is like 25% of the RAM that a lot of people have. It's still well within normalcy to be packing only 16GB of RAM, and it's somewhat rare to have 64GB. A mandatory update centered around an unwanted feature that eats up anywhere from 5-25% of your RAM constantly is not a good move.
