@not_benis @birdulon @NitroDubs @troubledturtle In all honesty, Google Maps is the single best product Google has ever put out. It's just a shame you need to jump through hoops like crazy to minimize your location data being sold. I have a high-end android and me woife the latest iPhone and we always compare live data with Google maps vs Apple maps vs Waze. Google always has the most accurate routes and the fastest routes and the best traffic and construction data however Waze is better for police information but is awful on routes legitimately ways will suggest routes that are six miles further and an extra 20 minutes worth of stoplights than Google maps so usually when we're on road trips I have her pull up Waze for cops and I use Google maps for directions so I can drive at appropriate speeds. Apple maps was originally just a Google maps clone but they got busted using Google's data and had to use their own and it's inaccurate as fuck It's basically 10 years behind Google because they don't have the cars driving around scanning the streets in 360° for a decade straight. When it comes to traffic navigation absolutely nothing is better than satellite view on Google maps because it literally shows you all of the buildings in real time.
