@jobanab @BowsacNoodle yeah we got the japanese beetles something fierce this year. I finally had those bag-traps w/ baits that smell kind of like cinnamon - seem to be working fairly well. I don't have chickens but I've heard that since it just tricks the beetles rather than poisons them, you can even go reuse them as a treat.
