@epictittus @BowsacNoodle That sounds reasonable enough; probably not a huge liability either way at the Novice level.
I’m approaching it from an “eidos” level, wherein I‘d think any somewhat-reasonable Abbot with the least traditional Phronema would immediately recognize the intense and visible conflict of interest between Orthodox monastic habit and 21st Century American Presidential election.
I know if somebody told me he’s an Orthodox monk running for President, I’d be strongly tempted to conclude he’s likely quite clueless about what one or the other actually entails.
