@liztai I have had a similar experience over the years. Better sleep after quitting, and making an effort to get off devices entirely a couple hours before sleep. I still do docos, podcasts and books, and read indie blog posts via careful curated RSS, but even then I'm fairly selective now.
I feel less of a need to have an opinion on everything too as I know its mainly temporary noise. Gives me more time and energy for other things, and I get into deeper and more constructive conversation.
