I'd associate fedi with politically & tech savvy, anti establishment, maybe woke or libertarian, and, sure, like being 30+. Maybe there's a bit of a traditionalist vibe, that's your thinking?

But personally I associate CDs & DVDs with the ramping up of copyright enforcement & the start of DRM controls, and I just couldn't wait to be rid of them. If I wanted to be retro I'd use vinyls or tapes.
