I'm pretty sure they've chosen to go after "adult materials" in general since it's simultaneously something that won't see much defense from the general public (because "ew coomers!! :soy: "), and is vague enough to give them the means to pivot towards much broader censorship later on, by means of bullshitting about "obscenity". Visa and MasterCard already did this back in 2020 with their whole "crusade" against Pornhub, where they suspended them on claims of "distributing CSAM", then took the precedent that established and started annihilating any and all wrongthink they could find (they quietly reinstated service for Pornhub after the fuss died down too, so either they lied outright or they're fine with bankrolling CP distributors). It's very much deliberately targeted, too, since they keep posturing about dropping OnlyFans, or subjecting them to the same "no NSFW material" restriction, yet something always ends up "delaying" said actions, just for OnlyFans and nobody else. :thonk:
