💩 post aside, since "the autistic spectrum" came into memedom, do you guys ever see parents who don't seem to give a hoot when some of their kids act like turds? I'm not denying that autism exists, but I definitely know more than one person who uses their kid's "autism" as a crutch for their parenting skills. I'm talking about a kid who is "on the spectrum" but you'd never know it if you weren't told and their parents let them get away with acting like a little jackass. Bonus points if they have other kids who are also poorly behaved but not autistic. I have kids and I know that sometimes one kid needs A LOT more attention than others, and it gets exhausting. Am I being an ass here, or is there some truth to this?
