I don't know anything about that reaction so I can't really speak to anything and am just spitballing. If you can reuse reagents, even in a situation where it requires a lot of energy, it should be explored. That's the type of stuff that can be bundled near a small nuke plant where there's tons of energy available to up total efficiency, especially if it can run off "waste" heat.
