@Yaldabaoth@shitposter.world @Alex@boymilk.cafe Sonic fans are another group I see take copium on the daily. I can never understand the desire to cling to a franchise with as much as Sonic fans do, but nostalgia and autism are just one hell of a drug.

If something I like has shat the bed I just leave the fandom, pretend the creator died, and look back on the good part with rose-tinted glasses while actively memory-holing everything else.

Also when I talk about "being a fan" or "being in a fandom" I mean in the sense of actively interacting with other fans and seeking out fanworks.

This is 90% of my Internet usage and I'm frankly sick of all the "newfags shitting up my board" and just want to go to when I could talk about shows without some tiktok kid complaining how it's elitist to expect anime fans to watch anime.
