    That's Alan Shepard, the first American in space.

    Being a huge golf fan, and having Ménière's disease he figured his Apollo flight was gong to be his last. He took two golf balls and the head of a golf club to the moon as part of his personally allowed gear.

    The golf club head had been drilled and tapped to accept the handle from a rock sample tool.

    He swatted the golf balls "miles and miles and miles" on camera.
