When the Shuttle was retired, NASA gave $4B to SpaceX and $3B to Boeing to replace it with something that could get to the ISS.

In 2017, SpaceX sent a Crew Dragon to the ISS. Since then it has gone there something like 16 times.

Boeing is going to try to get their first mission to the ISS this week. 10 years and $10B dollars, and Starliner still has never flown to the ISS.

SpaceX is the number one satellite launch provider. Last year they put 90% of all satellites into orbit.
