- Embed this noticeNonetheless, what the cops did in this case was fucked. I"m surprised that plaintiff settled out of concern re qualified immunity. If the cops can interrogate a person for that amount of time on unsupported / univestigated assumptions, and tell people that their parent is dead and that they'll kill their dog if they don't confess, what can't they do to any of us? That the blood was from stick tests could have been discovered by simply looking around dad's bedroom, and the "cadaver dog" story sounds like post factual police bullshit.
