@FlashMobOfOne yeah, the secret is in linux, all games use DXVK, which is a translation layer from direct x to vulkan. Steam, in both windows and linux, has an option to automatically download and share shaders when you download a game, but only vulkan shaders, not DX shaders. This fixes shader compilation stutter. In windows, almost nothing uses Vulkan, so the feature basically goes unused, but in linux, by nature, *everything* uses vulkan, so everything can use this, even old games.
