These desperate people are brainwashed to accept their current situation as their destiny. Also they seem to be convinced that though those politicians are not responsible for their status, the politicians are trying their best to address their needs. Through selected half true anecdotes, they are made to believe that it would have been much worse had it been someone else. The desperate people should consider themselves lucky to have these politicians at the helm of the affairs.

WhatsApp and similar social media tools play a big role in achieving this mindless subservience through domestication of users.

Playing the game on the same pitch and according to the same rules is one way to combat this. However that is easier said than done. It needs funds and resources.
