@susie @jamie interlacing is different from variable framerate. i had to run deinterlace stuff on my old JVC camcorder. (i used that when i did the ploopy headphone video.)

thankfully gopros do not require that kind of shitbaggery. the BMD would require a whole different amount of suffering (developing RAWs in to cineform or something) but there are severe advantages to that.
