@BeAware It's not the easiest option since it's external, but I wrote a little script to query a number of instances for their trending info. It then de-duplicates the list and cleans it up a bit, reformats the data to be a link to my instance for each hashtag and sends me an email once a day.

That gives me an idea of what has been trending for the last little bit each day when I check my email.
