      The vast majority of people who appreciate a hard-line stance on freedom of speech are people who hold views that are actively suppressed by the propaganda machine and the zeitgeist it produces. Freedom of speech will always be feared and supressed by authority due to its nature of unifying free thinkers outside their terrarium of acceptable thought. Disingenuous "freedom of speech (for things I agree with)" types are everywhere; subservience within the system demands the cognitive dissonance.
