- Embed this noticeI don't hate him either. I said I find him entertaining. And, you are correct on all points. But, HK and MC give people the impression they can become chefs just by completing a series of challenges, and then abracadabra, they get six figures and a prestigious restaurant, at the age of 23 or so. I'm in my 50s now, and I've been cooking since 1988. I just now feel I have enough knowledge to run a kitchen myself - because I've worked in real, serious kitchens.
