Almost 100% of degrees people get in order to start a specific job are this. It's a cancer. Even in professions like welding, engineering, and medicine, everything would be better for everyone involved if degree followed schooling (run by industry people, not a university), which followed a year or two of paid apprenticeship. References needed to proceed to the next step.
