I'm old enough to remember the process people had to go through before you could be seriously considered for those roles.
Two solid technology companies I worked for that had several decades of success, with very good reasons they were successful. Then they went modern and through all of that vetting away. And the results were predictable. One is now gone. The other a fraction of its former size and foreign owned.
