Also, replying to such a post doesn't make the reply into a chat message on the other side as far as I know, neither do chat messages appear as replies in your timeline after you replied to the thread. I find #owncast an awesome platform, but in my view it's only partially federated, as in I still have to go to the actual website to do most things, peertube doesn't have that issue for the most part.
