Just wanted to mention that what happened to your post was not a policy or decision from Mastodon as a whole, that would even be impossible, but from the Mastodon server that you have an account on, mstdn.social. Had you used another server other rules would apply. And you can also choose to migrate from the one you use right now to any other you want to at any time.
