@KnifeEar @WandererUber I can't say what it was like in the past. But I've learned how to model some fairly complicated objects with it using some free add-ons, so it does what I need it to do. It's also got some pretty crazy functions for auto-generating certain features that I'm sure the CAD type stuff can't do, but you have to be careful that your object is actually watertight after you're done. The main issue I have with it is that the algorithms take shortcuts that lead to your model having problems, which don't really have a solution other than getting used to how Blender works to avoid them in the first place; also, save backups while you're working.
