@nyx @eris @astronema I also think the "white trans woman" meme sort of contributes to erasing people across different parts of the spectrum of race and ethnic background like, white-passing folks who nonetheless bare the scars of generational trauma & the more economic aspects of structures racial oppression (and ofcourse subjected to the violence of white gaze even in their "passingness" which is always fraught).
I also think the way Whiteness is utilized in this trope echoes of when the same kind of logic is applied to white-passing jewish folks.



One thing I will say about your rant above though is you're (ofcourse given ur own perspectives and what is really ur place to speak on) perhaps centering how whiteness affects white people specifically - its not just something created to fool the white working class but also as a Tool to gradually dispose of those subject to racialised gazes.
