I wrote this before. Crime is paramount. You cannot protect something illegitimate without committing more illegitimate. That is what "paramount" means.
The second part you got right, committing something illegitimate to immutable storage is the best way to preserve self-incriminating evidence.
Example - crimes rates. Flip the crime rates between black and whites and commit the data to immutable storage. Then someone else comes, and claims that in that neighborhood there is only is only a single family that is considered "white" everyone else black, and the data about 1 black and 50 white people in prison does not add up.
You cannot switch the numbers back and forth as you would like, you are caught in a lie.
