Emilia@thomasfuchs May not be helpful for your needs depending on specifics, but whenever I need to run WinXP software (fairly often for a previous work project) I used virtualization via UTM. Never tested out how well it does USB passthrough from a host computer, but it's incredible how well it works. Even works great on an iPad.
