@pro @creamqueen @mischievoustomato @thegreatape windows 11 is incredibly sluggish. Your programs start up slow. Right click anywhere is slow. Opening explorer windows can sometimes stall for up to 10 seconds (not rare, happens maybe once per day to me). Disk access and transfer is slower than ever. All of this on a 13900HX with 64 gigs of ram and a Samsung 980 pro.

The computer just runs hot all the time. Sitting idle will typically be 60 C. It's 35 C running Linux on the same machine. Elevated temps were issues on win 10 as well but not this bad.

Right click UI also sucks but that's a minor complaint by comparison. Also making various settings, even very silly things like recycle bin, harder to access. Settings are a MESS. Volume is difficult to configure without everything resetting when you switch devices.

I play games on a separate desktop running windows 10 because I haven't wanted to mess with proton yet. People in the foss space are never honest about the problems they encounter so when people say "gaming just werks" I do not believe them.
