@jeffowski There's a concept called the "cost of cash" in retail businesses.
You have to:
- Wait for the purchaser to count out cash
- Have the cashier count out the right amount of change.
- Cash accounting every night.
- Make sure you have sufficient change.
- Keep that cash safe from robberies.
- Deposit the money safely on a nightly basis.
- Deal with forgeries.
POS systems tend to save businesses money. The sign is really for avoiding taxes.
