I thing Copyleft is pretty cool... if that is the artist's choice. I just don't understand why some seem to think that artists shouldn't be copyrighting their work? For some sort of ideological reason?

I'm just trying to grasp the beef, and it's frankly not obvious what the supposed problem really is, or why getting rid of copyrights -- which protect artists -- is the solution.
