Ian Douglas Scott@thomasfuchs Actually the 2nd amendment (like other parts of the constitution) originally only applied to the federal government. McDonald v. City of Chicago (2010) ruled it was incorporated against the states and granted a right to individuals based on... the fourteenth amendment.
