@soapdog there seem to be dozens of projects in various stages of completion or disrepair. Anecdotally all of the seem to be single person efforts, with all that this implies.

Imho the #activitypub universe (#fediverse) needs to grow up and develop community based reference implementations for all major stacks.

They will serve both as smooth onboarding for new contributors and to ensure that all the amazingly diverse use cases one can build will have a minimum of interoperability.
