@dicey @kekkerel @rees @hidden @vriska that's the cost of diversity imho. Not being a homogenous country, the US doesn't have homogenous traditions. What traditions we do have were co-opted by corporations a long, long time ago.

Caught myself humming a jaunty Christmas tune the other day, but I couldn't remember the lyrics. Then I realized it was "I'd like to teach the world to sing" from the Coca-Cola ads in the 70s and 80s. Fucking brainworms
